Q: What is your favorite inspirational quote? A: Strive for progress, not perfection.
Q: What's your word of the year? A: Energized!
Q: What are your personal health and fitness goals? A: I want to feel good in my skin, have energy to keep up with my toddler and invest in my long-term health. I want to build lifelong habits that will allow me to always do the things that I enjoy doing like hiking, going for bike rides, etc.
Q: How has Fit 2 the Core/NutritionWorks made a difference in your life? A: Joining F2TC has changed my life in so many positive ways. I look forward to my mornings at the gym and relish the time that I get to do something for myself. Not only has my physical health improved but my mental health has benefited as well. I feel good about myself again and I'm having tons of fun.
Q: What kinds of milestones have you accomplished and what specific results have you achieved so far? A: I feel like I’ve changed so much since joining. I’ve lost over 20 lbs, have lost inches and am down several sizes. I was never able to run before and when I had to- I hated every second of it. A few weeks ago I went for a 4 mile run (albeit a slow one) and actually enjoyed it! It’s so nice to belong to a community of wonderful women who keep you accountable and encourage you to keep pushing to become a better you. Q: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started with us? A: I grew up in Westerly and am therefore a lifelong beach bum. Currently, I live with my husband and daughter in Cranston. We’re close to our families and are lucky to see them all the time. I run the plant research team at a startup where we design and build indoor farms so that we can grow food sustainably, using less water and no pesticides. I joined F2TC because I needed to whip myself back into shape after having a baby and gaining weight, while working a high-stress job during the global pandemic.
