Q: What are your personal health and fitness goals? A: I just want to be healthy and “in shape” enough to keep up with my future grandchildren and to be a good role model for my daughter now.
Q: What ONE thing keeps you most focused and motivated to continue to work hard to reach your goals? A: The one thing that keeps me focused and motivated is seeing my progress from week to week. I am so much stronger every week and it amazes me-I want to keep going.
Q: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started with us? A: I’ve always been active/athletic through the years. After having a baby, my body’s metabolism slowed down and I soon found myself out of shape, which was uncharted territory for me. I’ve always had terrible eating habits so that wasn’t helping. I knew I had to do something. I saw the ad for a challenge on Facebook and the rest is history! Never looked back.
Q: How has Fit 2 The Core/NutritionWorks made a difference in your life? A: Before becoming a full-time member, I used to participate in challenges. I would do great and after it ended, head off on my own and slowly start slacking. I realized that the time when I’m most successful is when I’m part of Fit 2 the Core. The women, both trainers and members, are a solid foundation of support that helps me obtain my fitness and health goals. I don’t know what I’d do without them.
Q: What kinds of milestones have you accomplished and what specific results have you achieved so far? A: I think I’m down about 15 pounds since stepping into the gym doors initially. What’s more important is that I’ve learned how to maintain and keep myself healthy (through lessons from Camille), which I have then passed on to my family. We are more conscious of how we take care of our bodies. I am also more mindful of taking care of my mental health. This has improved relationships both at work and with friends.
Q: What is your “word” of the year?! A: Great question, because this has been such a challenging year… DETERMINATION… always keep your determination and remember why you started doing whatever it is that you’re doing. Always be determined to be the possible version of yourself.
Q. What would you say to someone on the fence about making a change & committing to their goals? A: What have you got to lose?!?! It’s the best decision you’ll ever make for yourself, and you’ll quickly learn you won’t regret it. The results and changes in both your body and your mind will amaze you. And to have a team of women behind you cheering you on is something you won’t want to miss out on!
