Client Spotlight
April 2019:
Pam Lang!

Q: What is your favorite inspirational quote?
A: “You’re only one workout from a good mood”

Q: What are your personal health and fitness goals?
A: My personal health goal is to continue to make healthy and smart choice, especially with the summer approaching! My fitness goal is to run another half marathon this summer, and MAYBE a full marathon this fall with my running crew!

Q: What ONE thing keeps you most focused and motivated to continue to work hard to reach your goals?
A: Of course, seeing results keeps you motivated and focused, but another huge part of my motivation are my friends here at the gym. I would not be where I am today if I didn’t have my workout BFF, Stacey. It is so much easier to roll out of bed at 4:30 am knowing you have someone counting and waiting on you. Had I not joined Fit2theCore, Stacey and I never would have met!

Q: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started with us?
A: My sister had joined Fit2theCore a couple years ago and absolutely loved it, I knew I wanted/needed to get back to a healthy routine, but boy was I nervous! I joined the NYNY challenge in January 2018, and I haven’t looked back!

Q: How has Fit 2 the Core/NutritionWorks made a difference in your life?
A: Fit2theCore has truly changed my life. I am the healthiest I have ever been. I workout 6 days a week and Monday is my “active recovery day”. I crave working out, and I never thought I would be that person! I love starting my day working out, it gets me off on the right foot!

Q: What kinds of milestones have you accomplished and what specific results have you achieved so far?
A: I was a runner in high school, totally gave up on it during college, and then became the track coach who didn’t run! I joined the Sunday Runday group organized by Lauren and I went from being barely able to run 1 mile to completing my first half marathon this past fall! The friendships that I have made within my running group I know will be lifelong. We pick each other up and motivate each other!

Q: What is your "word" of the year?
A: Moderation. Everything is okay in moderation! That is something I have learned and am able to live by!!

Q: What made you decide you wanted to join Fit 2 the Core/NutritionWorks?
A: I love being held accountable, it is what helps me. I know all of my trainers truly care about me and want the best for me.

Q: What would you say to someone on the fence about making a change and committing to their goals?
A: Just do it! Once you get into a routine, you will crave it. People always say “you’re crazy, you get up at 4:30 am to go to the gym?! How do you do that? Why do you do that?” My response is always, I love starting my day with strong women and it puts me in the right frame of mind for the day. As far as getting up early, give it two weeks...the first two weeks suck, but I promise you will want to join the 5:30 am class...I am DONE exercising for the day by 6:30 and ready to start my day!
