Congratulations Kimberly R. for Being March’s Spotlight Success Story.

We had the opportunity to talk with Kimberly and do a small Q&A.

Here is what she had to say:

Q & A with Kim…

Karina: What is your favorite inspirational quote?
Kim: Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.

K: What are your personal health and fitness goals?
Kim: A personal health goal is to have my children form healthy food habits like my husband and I have started to do. They have started to eat more vegetables and fruit and I want it to continue. I need to continue to be a role model with my eating habits for them. My fitness goal is to do a full sit up and to run the Gaspee 5K race in June (this has been a goal of mine for 5 years).

K: What ONE thing keeps you most focused and motivated to continue to work hard to reach your goals?
Kim: I want to be healthy for myself most importantly. My children and my husband have also kept me motivated to continue my hard word. I have more energy for my family. I also enjoy wearing all of the clothes that I’ve had in my basement in totes. I’m fitting into clothes that still have tags on that are about 5 years old.

K: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started with us?
Kim: In September 2016, my husband and I just moved into our new house and we were ready to make another change. We wanted to give it our all one last time because we kept yo-yo dieting and we were both tired of gaining our weight back. My sister-in-law’s sister had come to Fit 2 The Core/NutritionWorks and she lost over a 100 lbs. and I heard awesome things and wanted to find out more. I contacted Camille and knew after talking to her on the phone for about 30 minutes, she meant business and she wasn’t going to take any excuses from us. She wanted a commitment from us and we both agreed. We started coming to her for Nutrition and once I completed the first challenge in September for The Little Black Dress, I was hooked and joined the gym. I love coming to the classes and feel so much better about myself. I am much more confident and I needed to make the time for myself. It is a lot of hard work and it doesn’t happen overnight but once you commit yourself to making the changes, your body and mind begins to change.

K: How has Fit 2 The Core/ NutritionWorks made a difference in your life?
Kim: I like having the accountability from someone. If I sign up for a class, someone is waiting for me to come, if I miss a class, I get a text or a call to see if I’m ok. It’s a small environment with a lot of support. Camille and Dawn really care and want us to be successful. I like having the monthly weigh ins and the opportunity to do a challenge. The classes are awesome and always a surprise. I have lost a lot of inches and have never felt better in my life. This isn’t a diet; it’s a way of life. This program works if you put your mind to it.

K: What kinds of milestones have you accomplished and what specific results have you achieved so far?
Kim: I can do a plank for at least a minute. I ran a 5k in November without stopping. This is the lowest weight I have been since high school.

K: What is your “word” of the year?!
Kim: Perseverance

K: What made you decide to want to join Fit 2 The Core /NutritionWorks?
Kim: My sister-in-law’s sister and her body transformation.

K: What kinds of results have you achieved so far?
Kim: Running a 5K without stopping.

K: What would you say to someone on the fence about making a change & committing to their goals?
Kim: Be ready to make the change and commit yourself to this program. The weight will come off but be patient and realistic. If you get off track, just forget about it and get right back on. Make the time for yourself and it’s okay to be selfish. Do whatever it takes to get to your goal. If you are dedicated, you will be successful.
