Q: What are your personal health and fitness goals? A: To inspire my children and grandchildren to live a healthy lifestyle so they can live a long and happy life.
Q: What ONE thing keeps you most focused and motivated to continue to work hard to reach your goals? A: Knowing I have to be here for my grandkids and enjoy them for as long as I can
Q: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started with us? A: I began fitness training at Body Complete several years ago and Camille became my fitness trainer. Worked with her for approximately ten years and then decided to do my own thing because my job became difficult to schedule appointments for my fitness training with Camille. After several years of trying to work out on my own, I never acquired the discipline it took to keep up the pace. However I do like to swim and I did swim on a daily basis at the Cranston YMCA each weekday morning at 5 am prior to going to work. A couple of years ago the Y began to experience problems with their pool and I had already retired from my job. I became frustrated and quit the Y. Camille had moved into her new facility and was having an open house and I decided to attend. After my first experience with Fit2theCore at their new location, I decided I needed to re-establish my strength training and became a member. I also found another pool to swim in so the rest is history. New digs to continue my commitment to fitness.
Q: How has Fit 2 The Core/NutritionWorks made a difference in your life? A: The people here have provided tremendous support which I need to keep myself disciplined to maintain the programs.
Q: What is your word of the year? A: Commitment
Q: What would you say to someone on the fence about making a change and committing to their goals? A: Strong muscles will protect your bones as you age. Being able to keep up after my grandkids would not be as much fun if I wasn’t as strong as I can be. Getting older is inevitable; why not face it by committing to a healthy lifestyle.
