Client Spotlight
November 2019:
Jo-Ann Fede!

Picture
Q: What are your personal health and fitness goals?
A: Keeping mobile because of severe orthopedic issues with my spine and hands.

Q: What ONE thing keeps you most focused and motivated to continue to work hard to reach your goals?
A: I feel the best when I come to the gym!  The gym lifts my spirits, helps me face the day and makes me feel good about myself.

Q: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started with us?
A: For so long, I would drive my children to their athletic events. I would often just sit there and grade papers and watch. It was not until I was 52 years old that I entered a gym. A friend had been encouraging me to come with her to work-out with Camille. After much pushing, I said “Yes”. My friend told me that I would love Camille, and boy was she right! Almost 20 years later I am still in love with Camille. I went from working out twice a week, to five days a week. I won’t miss a class, unless the gym is closed due to weather.

Q: How has Fit 2 The Core/NutritionWorks made a difference in your life?
A: My workouts have become as essential to me, as my Dunkin Donuts and Felicia blend is…black no cream or sugar. Fit 2 the Core has provided me with wonderful social supports and a great group of ladies to laugh with. Despite, my physical limitations the trainers do an amazing job with all the modifications and accommodations for my hip, right hand and back.

Q: What kind of milestones have you accomplished?
A: I can do push-ups, planks and squats.  I can now walk around the high school building about 2-3 miles a day. I don’t eat on the run or in the car anymore and have changed a lot of bad habits.

Q: What is your word of the year?
A: Relentless

Q: What would you say to someone on the fence about making a change and committing to their goals?
A:  It is never too late to start your journey to a healthy lifestyle. I was half- way through my life, when I met Camille and started my quest to becoming a more fit person. I will never be an all- state athlete like my three children, but I will be me.  Camille, Diane and Lisa all hold a very special place in my heart and I will be forever grateful for all they have done in leading me to a healthy lifestyle.
