We had the opportunity to talk with Barbara and do a small Q&A.
Here is what she had to say:
Q & A with Barbara… Karina: What is your favorite inspirational quote? Barbara: “Learn to Enjoy the Simple Things in Life”
K: What are your personal health and fitness goals? B: I want to stay strong, active and healthy. I would like to stay at a healthy weight.
K: What ONE thing keeps you most focused and motivated to continue to work hard to reach your goals? B: Be able to move around. To stay active and enjoy participating in activities with my grandchildren and family.
K: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started with us? B: I am 80 years old. I was training somewhere else and was referred by my friend Joyce. I have been here for 4 years.
K: How has Fit 2 The Core/ NutritionWorks made a difference in your life? B: It has kept me strong and flexible. Maintained my weight and increased my muscle mass.
K: What kinds of milestones have you accomplished and what specific results have you achieved so far? B: I can lift heavier weights, I can do more push-ups than I ever have and I can keep up with the younger women during training.
K: What is your “word” of the year?! B: Persevere!
K: What made you decide to want to join Fit 2 The Core / NutritionWorks? B: I was looking for a place with all women. I referred by my friend Joyce. I had known Camille from a previous gym that I had worked out at.
K: What kinds of results have you achieved so far? B: I have gained muscle and I am stronger. I feel that I am exercising more now than before.
K: What would you say to someone on the fence about making a change & committing to their goals? B: ABSOLUTELY!! DO IT!!
